G. A. Newsome was established in 1984 by Geoff Newsome to provide a road transport service for a variety of clients on a non-contractual basis. Strong growth followed throughout the late eighties resulting in the comprehensive vehicle fleet that the company can boast today.
Newsome’s joined the RHA in 1993 and established G. A. Newsome (Haulage) Ltd in order to concentrate on the contractual haulage business two years later. Like a number of haulage companies in the new century, Newsome’s expanded their operations to include warehousing services in 2002. This change in direction led them to move to a purpose built 4-acre site in Wardle near Nantwich.
This Volvo FH is superbly decorated in the well-known Newsome livery. The model features an open curtainside depicting an authentic load.
