British Road Services (BRS) was formed following the nationalisation of Britain's road haulage industry, under the British Transport Commission, as a result of the Transport Act 1947. The nationalised operation managed to create a strong and viable transport network with iconic workhorses such as the ERF KV, AEC MkV and Leyland (LAD) 8 wheel tipper, all of which, have been modelled by Corgi in the past.
This Scania LB110 tandem axle tilt was brand new to the BRS Depot Swindon in 1971. This unit was originally ordered to allow the group to compare it against a Scammell Crusader using identical continental routes. It fared well in comparison in terms of driver comfort and servicing capability. Shop here

The well known livery adoms the body of the MAN TGA XL Step Frame Curtainside Trailer. An example of new tooling for 2004. This truck goes under the name of Guinevere. The tampo printing is crisp and the MAN badge on the grille is a delight. This truck first hit the road in 2000.
