This is the
Y-31 1931 Morris Courier in the yellow livery of 'Weetabix'. The baseplate was altered to reflect its new 'Made in China' origins but the copyright date was left at 1989. The bright Weetabix livery looked very good but this body type was really more of a furniture delivery van so it was not strictly accurate.

Barton Centenary RTL Bartons were for many years of the 20th century Britains largest independent bus operators. The business pioneered both British and Continental Coach Holidays with its popular Road Cruises and the Company also ran an extensive Express Service network of coaches throughout Britain. The business was founded in 1908 near Nottingham by one of the great innovators and characters of the passenger transport industry, Thomas Henry Barton O.B.E., and his family. There were long associations with certain chassis manufacturers, most notably Daimler, followed by Lancia and then Leyland. But Bartons remain famous for their reputation for the superb re-engineering of a very wide range of vehicles (including re-bodying) to suit their own individual requirements.
