New tooling introduces the Bedford Pantechnicon to the N scale Oxford range and it is a marvel that so much authentic artwork has been fitted on to such a small area! The cream body has a black chassis with lettering in bright red with yellow dropped shadow work. Advertising the removals and storage business of J Bloomfield & Sons of Felixstowe, the Pantechnicon is registered ADX 486. SCANIA R SERIES TOPLINE FRIDGE SCOTT TRAWLERS LTD



A superb new modern truck model in 1/76 scale. This Scania R truck and fridge trailer are painted in the highly decorative Scott Trawlers livery.

Dumfries based Scott Trawlers is a family business, opertaing trawlers specialising in scallops, although dover sole and monkfish also also caught. Freezing the fish at sea and using its dedicated fleet of Scania trucks the company ensures the rapid delivery of fresh scallops.

VOLVO FH OPEN CURTAINSIDE WITH BOX LOAD - G.A. NEWSOME (HAULAGE) LTD.






G. A. Newsome was established in 1984 by Geoff Newsome to provide a road transport service for a variety of clients on a non-contractual basis. Strong growth followed throughout the late eighties resulting in the comprehensive vehicle fleet that the company can boast today. 

Newsome’s joined the RHA in 1993 and established G. A. Newsome (Haulage) Ltd in order to concentrate on the contractual haulage business two years later. Like a number of haulage companies in the new century, Newsome’s expanded their operations to include warehousing services in 2002. This change in direction led them to move to a purpose built 4-acre site in Wardle near Nantwich. 

This Volvo FH is superbly decorated in the well-known Newsome livery. The model features an open curtainside depicting an authentic load.

CORGI 1/50 SCANIA 141 CANVAS LOAD - R.T. KEEDWELL LTD-HIGHBRIDGE, SOMERSET



R.T. Keedwell Ltd was founded in 1969 by Ray Keedwell with one truck hauling peat from the Somerset Levels.  The fleet has steadily grown since that time to its present size of around 400 trucks, and 1000 trailers with Depots all over the country.

This particular Scania 141 was Keedwell’s flagship in the seventies, the sleeper cab no doubt came in handy for the long trips up and down the UK.  The firm from Highbridge have always run at least one Scania tractor unit and the famous manufacturer’s name still feature in their attractive looking fleet today.

J & M Murdoch & Son was established in 1965 with a Ford Thames Trader flat bed lorry costing only 100 pound. In 1977 YGA IIIS was bought new from the Kelvin Hall Motor Show, Glasgow. This truck spent most of its life hauling whisky for Wm Grants Paisley all over the UK for over ten years, with another five years on local low loader work before being retired to the role of yard shunter in 1992.

She was fully refurbished back to new condition and unveiled at Truckfest Scotland in 1998. Since then it has won various prizes throughout the UK and Europe as well as completing several thousand miles on 'European road runs' for Charity. Shop here

CORGI 1/76 GUY ARAB IV - SUNDERLAND CORP

Number 232 in the Sunderland fleet was one of six GuyArab IV models with Gardner 5LW engines and bodies by Roe of Leeds delivered in 1958. The model is shown in the Brunswick Green & Cream livery adopted in 1954. Features include a detailed interior, rear stairs and glazing all round. Shop here

Since starting Dyce Carrier Ltd in 1973 from a humble Morris Minor Van, David and Jean Moir have built a company that now boasts two depots in Scotland (Aberdeen & Cowdenbeath) and one in England (Poole, Dorset). Founded in 1973 by Martin Carroll and Steve Beeches, Saints has always specialised in Airfreight Logistics. Under their guidance for the last 35 years, the company has grown in to one of the largest UK Airfreight hauliers, daily servicing every commercial airport with over 200 vehicles (largely MAN’s), 350 staff and several depots in Manchester, Scotland, Wales, and two at Heathrow, where S700 ST5 still operates today. It handles almost every type of cargo, including hazardous and explosive goods. CORGI 1/76 SCAMMELL MECH. HORSE - TATE & LYLE


Tate & Lyle was formed in 1921 from a merger of two rival sugar refiners, Henry Tate & Sons and Abram Lyle & Sons. The ship owner, Abram Lyle acquired an interest in sugar refining in 1865 in Greenock, western Scotland, then in Plaistow, London, England. Henry Tate began his business in 1869 in Liverpool, England, later expanding to London. Both companies had large factories nearby each other. Henry Tate in Silvertown, London and Abram Lyle in Plaistow. This prompted the 1921 merger, and the later carriage of sugar on 1930s Scammell’s bearing both names. Shop here

CORGI 1/50 SCANIA 110 TANDEM AXLE TILT TRAILER-BRITISH ROAD SERVICES


British Road Services (BRS) was formed following the nationalisation of Britain's road haulage industry, under the British Transport Commission, as a result of the Transport Act 1947.  The nationalised operation managed to create a strong and viable transport network with iconic workhorses such as the ERF KV, AEC MkV and Leyland (LAD) 8 wheel tipper, all of which, have been modelled by Corgi in the past. 

This Scania LB110 tandem axle tilt was brand new to the BRS Depot Swindon in 1971.  This unit was originally ordered to allow the group to compare it against a Scammell Crusader using identical continental routes.  It fared well in comparison in terms of driver comfort and servicing capability.
