CORGI TRACKSIDE 1/76 HARRINGTON HORSE - BRITISH RAIL

Thomas Harrington started building horse-drawn wagons at his Brighton premises at the end of the 19th Century. Harrington, based on a strong pedigree of quality and well designed bodies, started to produce horseboxes specifically for British railway companies who, from 1938, offered full-service logistics of cargo ‘from-and-to the station’. This horsebox was mainly used by such railway companies from 1938. but was reliveried in British Rail colours post-nationalisation to carry up to three horses from one set of stables to station, and vice versa on the return leg.
